This may look like a Grandfather clock, but it actually is a 6 foot tall wall regulator clock. Several decades ago someone made a base for the wall clock to rest on. It is a simple movement with a single weight to run the time only, no chimes or strike mechanism.
I was unable to examine the timepeice to determine the age or maker of this finely crafted clock. It resides in the home of a well known resident of Mason City. The history of this timepiece includes family members from the past that were watchmakers in the area. This is one of many clocks and watches that the home proudly displays.
